BOOKING POLICY

Essential Documentation Required

• Valid driving licence and national ID card or passport; original documents only accepted
• Payment is due on collection day at our office or designated meeting point
• We accept cash payments or Visa, Mastercard and debit cards
• When booking through our online platform alquilercochesmarbella.com, please present your booking confirmation
• The hirer must present a driving licence valid for over 2 years plus residence card, national ID or passport. Minimum age requirement is 24 years; those not meeting these criteria will need to purchase additional insurance cover
• Upon vehicle collection, we’ll place a temporary hold on your debit or credit card, or you may leave a cash deposit. The amount varies by vehicle model, ranging from €250 to €1,000. To avoid this charge, simply present a credit card in the driver’s name

General Conditions

• Under no circumstances may the vehicle leave the country except to Portugal and Gibraltar, with prior notice
• The premium insurance option includes unlimited mileage only within Andalusia and for contracts shorter than 20 days
• Monthly contracts (long-term hire) include 3,000km throughout Spain. Excess mileage will be charged according to company rates or deducted from the card held as guarantee
• Insurance cover becomes void if driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or unauthorised medication, or in cases of speeding. Under any of these circumstances, damage costs are the hirer’s responsibility
• Vehicle hire rates include compulsory insurance cover and third-party liability insurance
• This insurance policy does not cover theft, loss of keys or any loss or damage to luggage, goods or other personal items transported in the vehicle
• Under no circumstances are damages caused to the vehicle’s underside, windows or tyres covered if caused by vehicle overloading, exceeding authorised speed limits or driving on forest tracks, mountain roads, beaches or unsuitable terrain
• The hirer is obliged to inform Go Rent A Car Marbella within a maximum of 24 hours of any accident or damage to the vehicle, whether interior or exterior. Failure to report within this timeframe may result in the company taking appropriate measures in accordance with this obligation
• Under no circumstances is smoking permitted inside the vehicle, whether tobacco, vape or any other substance. Should the vehicle interior at the time of return show any indication such as odour, ash etc., a full vehicle cleaning charge will apply
• The hirer must refuel the vehicle with the appropriate fuel. Should inappropriate fuel be used, the customer must bear the cost of mechanical repairs and transport to our premises
• The hirer undertakes not to transport more persons than authorised nor unauthorised goods in the hired vehicle
• Subletting the vehicle to other persons is not permitted, nor is using the vehicle for transporting people as a taxi service
• It is understood that the hirer is solely responsible for penalties resulting from traffic code violations or non-compliance with other regulations, and for any consequences arising therefrom
• Should Go Rent A Car Marbella receive any penalty notice, the company will notify the vehicle driver at the address stated in the hire contract
• Legal and extra-legal costs, including solicitors’ and legal representatives’ fees arising from any misuse of the vehicle, are the hirer’s responsibility
• This contract comes into force at the time and date it is signed at the moment of vehicle departure
• The hirer is responsible for returning the vehicle at the same time as collection, with a 2-hour grace period. Failure to observe this margin may result in an additional day’s hire charge. Should the customer wish to extend the hire, they may do so by attending our Go Rent A Car Marbella office to sign the extension and make the corresponding payments. Such extension is subject to vehicle availability. Extension of any vehicle by telephone, email or text message is not possible

Contract Duration

The hire contract duration is as stated on the front of the agreement, showing collection and return date and time. A hire day refers to a 24-hour period from the start time of the hire, with a 2-hour courtesy period allowed at return. The maximum contract duration is 30 days, renewable. Should the customer decide to terminate the hire before the date specified in the contract, no refund will be made for early return.

Vehicle Return and Fuel

• The customer must return the vehicle in the same state of cleanliness as provided. Our staff will inspect the vehicle and check for any missing items or excessive dirt such as stains on seats, animal hair, tobacco residue or any damage caused by misuse of the vehicle. In such cases, charges will apply for damage caused or loss of vehicle items, amounting to €100
• Should the vehicle not be returned on the contract end date, we will contact the person registered on the contract. If they do not respond to calls or messages, the company will consider this unlawful appropriation of the vehicle and proceed to file a report with the Marbella National Police, who will arrange vehicle recovery. In this case, we will regard the aforementioned events as theft
• The vehicle will be provided with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. Should fuel be missing, a charge of €50 applies if below full, or €100 if below half full
• Vehicle mileage is unlimited within Andalusia. Should the customer need to travel outside Andalusia, mileage allowance is 150km per day from contract start to finish, except for long-term monthly hire which includes 3,000km throughout Spain. Excess mileage will be charged at €0.35 or €0.50 per additional kilometre
• Items left in the vehicle at return will be kept by Go Rent A Car Marbella for 2 months, after which time we will dispose of the items

Booking Cancellation

• If cancellation is made 48 hours before vehicle collection, the full amount paid for your hire will be refunded
• If cancellation is made less than 48 hours before collection, no refund of charges paid will be made
• To avoid this and retain the option to cancel up until the moment of vehicle collection, you must select the cancellation insurance option we offer on our website alquilercochesmarbella.com

Right to Cancellation

Go Rent A Car Marbella reserves the right to cancel any booking in advance with immediate effect and without any compensation to the customer for damages arising therefrom.

Insurance

• Basic Insurance Option: Our basic insurance provides basic collision protection. It covers only damage caused to the other vehicle; for our vehicle, you must pay the excess applied to that vehicle, ranging from €800 to €1,500 depending on the vehicle chosen. Mileage allowance is 150km per day
• This insurance does not include roadside assistance or unlimited mileage
• In the event of an accident, the previously held excess will be retained until vehicle repairs are completed. The customer will under no circumstances pay more than this amount
• With this insurance, a deposit of between €250 and €600 applies to cover loss of keys, additional cleaning, extra days or fuel shortage
• Premium Insurance Option: Fully comprehensive insurance with zero excess. Includes 24-hour roadside assistance, unlimited mileage within Andalusia with cover in Portugal and Gibraltar
• Neither of these two insurance options covers tyres, windows or the vehicle’s underside. To obtain this cover, you must select the Guarantee Plus option available on our website alquilercochesmarbella.com
• With this insurance, a deposit of between €250 and €600 applies to cover loss of keys, additional cleaning, extra days or fuel shortage

Contract Signature

Annexed to this contract, all hire conditions stated on the reverse of the contract will be accepted and considered read at the time of signature.

Translation

Translations of the general hire conditions offered by Go Rent A Car Marbella are for information purposes only and have no legal validity in every detail of their translation. Only the Spanish version has validity before a court of law.

Vehicle Geolocation

Purpose: The geolocation system installed in Go Rent A Car Marbella vehicles will be activated only in cases of theft or suspected theft, and when the customer experiences a roadside incident or requires our assistance to locate the vehicle and provide necessary customer support. It will also be used to measure mileage covered by the customer.

Lawfulness of Processing: The legitimate basis for processing using geolocation in cases of suspected theft is Go Rent A Car Marbella’s interest in safeguarding its vehicle fleet. To achieve this objective, these geolocators have been installed in the vehicles and appropriate security measures have been applied, in accordance with Article 32 of the GDPR. The legitimate basis for processing in cases of system activation is approved by the geolocation provider company.

Third-Party Disclosures: Data will not be provided to third parties unless required by legal obligation.

Retention Period: Information obtained through vehicle geolocation will be automatically deleted by the company 30 days after vehicle return, unless the data must be made available to the competent authorities when requested by official notice via email from an official body.

Minimisation: Under no circumstances will the geolocation system be used continuously for monitoring or tracking purposes by Go Rent A Car Marbella.
